Acquiring Knowledge For Your Financial Recovery
Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or turn away from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.
– Proverbs 4: 5-7
After failing so bad with my finances, I started to do my research on how can I recover and turn my life around. I believe that if I can find some good books to read that can provide some sound advice, I will be on the way to financial recovery.
We know that knowledge is power. And it is readily available and accessible to everyone. It can be acquired but not inherited, and we have to seek it. Anyone who does not give importance of learning and acquiring knowledge limits his abilities and opportunities.
With the power of internet, information is within the reach of our fingertips. Somewhere out there, surely there were people who have encountered the same problem as yours, and could give you some advice. Many people wrote about the stories of their success, how they overcome the trials and reaching the glory they envisioned. As an old time saying quoted, “It is easier to arrive where you want to go if you will get the counsel of those who are already there”, so it’s good to find those people who already reached the point where you want to go. They share their experiences by writing and sharing their triumphs and mistakes so others may follow the easiest route and avoid the mistakes. These kinds of information are recorded through books, audios, videos or articles on websites. Some records are shared to the public for free while some can be acquired for small sum of money. It’s up to us to reach out for these available resources.
Aside from books, audios and videos, you can also seek their service. You can find a coach or a mentor who can guide you with your financial recovery. Some provides information for free or descent amount; and some provides information that costs a lot of money. These may add up with your expenses, but it’s an investment. You just have to make sure that you have money to spare before taking this route of learning for your personal finance.
Knowledge brings more knowledge. The more books your read, the more learning audio and video you consume, the hungrier you become to learn more. Once you begin to learn new things, you will be able to realize how little really you know about life. And as our knowledge increase, the easier for us to learn new things and be able to make wiser choices and decisions.
One of a good tool that I’ve used when searching for info is Amazon’s Kindle Books where you can buy electronic books much cheaper than the printed version. And if you are lucky enough, you can get a Kindle version of a printed book for free. Another advantage of buying Kindle Book is that you can carry along your books with you. Using your smartphone or table, you can read books in the subway, in the bus. you can literally carry hundreds of books with you anywhere. With the books I purchase on Kindle, I slowly accumulated the knowledge that I need. Then I created a book as my road map to my financial recovery.
You can also check out my book On The Way To Recovery Amazon Kindle. Maybe you can add it in your library.
Once we are able to acquire knowledge and figure out the way to follow, we will then embark to our journey for Financial Freedom.
Do you need someone to coach or mentor you for reaching your financial goal as well? I’d be happy to guide you.
Here’s to your success in acquiring knowledge as well for your Financial Freedom!
