Weekend Warrior – Money Machine Result as of February 9, 2018
May nakita akong portfolio na nag-invest halos kasabay ko during the highs of 2015. I saw that the portfolio did not go anywhere. It seems like walang definite purpose or specific goal, kaya wala ding strategy. He just wanted his money to “earn money” from his investments. It ends up, earning a little money.
Investing your money is like playing a strategic game, like chess or tennis. You must have a clear goal (in amount), the time when you need it, the vehicle that will take you where you want to go, and the knowledge you have to drive that vehicle. That’s how we can win the game.
Back to our friend, if in almost three years ay buwan-buwan siyang nag-invest a certain sum of money, siguradong may kita ang portfolio niya. My portfolio can support that claim.
I started July 27, 2015 when the market starts to fall down. They said “don’t invest kapag pababa”, “don’t catch the falling knives”.
So I said, “I don’t give a shit! I will invest my money now betting that it will be higher 10, 20, 30 years, or even when I’m long gone.”
To win the money game, you gotta set out a game plan, then play your game according to your plan.
Don’t ever go out to the battlefield fighting for your freedom without any plan to succeed. Without a plan, you are planning to fail.

Ang aking idea or game plan is to save monthly and invest to build a lump sum so big na kapag kailangan ko na ang interest niya buwan-buwan will be enough to cover my lifestyle kahit hindi na magtrabaho.
I will Invest long term and leave that money machine behind to my children and children’s children. Kaya I will look at the bigger picture, not one year, not five years but for my lifetime and beyond.
So while I live, I will work and earn more, save more, and invest more while enjoying my current lifestyle. I will not invest any money that will sacrifice too much sa aking kasalukuyang situation. But at the same time, I’m looking forward for that day na ang pera naman ang magtrabaho para sa akin, at hindi na ako ang magtatrabaho para sa pera.
Iyon naman ay isang pangarap lang. Pangarap na unti-unting tinutupad. Gaya ng sabi ni Earl Nightingale, “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal.” Kaya in each year, if I can achieve the mini-goals I set, I can say that I am moving forward progressively to the realization of my goal of financial freedom.
And by the way, umabot na sa P1,488,260.76 ang total ng investment asset by catching those falling knives. Kaya ang masasabi ko, don’t listen to other people, listen to your mind crying for freedom – financial freedom where you have the liberty to choose to work with your passion and not to work for money.
I said to my self, “enough living in mediocrity”. I will move forward to my dreams, slowly and progressively. I will until… until you see me waving at the top, or I’d be dead on the side from trying.
Here’s to your success!
